SHELTER SUNDAY: Meet Spice (pit bull mix) and Don Juan and Pablo (bonded brother cats)
Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.
Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.
Spice is a 3-year-young pit bull mix who is everything nice.
She was a cruelty case from South Carolina, but Spice is as sweet as can be and loves everyone at the shelter. She loves kids and gets along with some other dogs, but a meet and greet is required. She is looking for a home with no cats.
This gorgeous girl enjoys going for walks, playing, cuddling, and being around her people. You can be one of those people – she will be waiting for you with a big hug!
Don Juan and Pablo
Don Juan and Pablo are 6-year-old bonded brothers who need a home together. They are neutered and up-to-date on their shots and feline testing.
Their previous owner passed away and they are sad and confused as to why they ended up at the shelter.
Calm and dignified, these two like to watch the world outside. Very social and friendly, they would look very good sitting in a big picture window watching over your yard.
Stop down and meet these wonderful boys!
