Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Dover

Dover is a 1-year-old bluetick coonhound full of energy and love!

He is the goofiest boy, and everyone loves him! He gets along with kids, but he is dog selective and doesn’t like cats. Dover would do best in a home that has experience with separation anxiety.

Come on out and meet this handsome hound!

Buttercup

Buttercup is a 6-month-old kitten who has been spayed and tested, so she’s ready for a new home.

She is very endearing little girl who loves to learn about her surroundings and be playful at the same time.

Buttercup also wants to have her own a cozy spot or some cuddle time with her humans.

If you would like to adopt this sweetie, please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
