Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Chloe

Chloe is a 9 years young shepherd mix with beautiful brindle coloring.

This sweet lady was originally at the shelter last year and, for whatever reason, stayed for quite some time before finding her adopters. Unfortunately, they no longer want her, so Chloe needs a loving permanent home. She loves all people and is good with most other dogs.

She enjoys giving kisses and snuggling up with the volunteers. Chloe is a big fan of quick walks and will give you nothing but love if you adopt her!

Scarlett

Scarlett is a 10-week-old striped tabby who is up-to-date on her vaccinations.

This cute girl will steal your heart. She loves to play chase the string, get all tangled up, and then look at you to come to her rescue. Very calm and social, Scarlett is ready for a home of her own.

If you would like to adopt her, please note that all kittens are kept in foster homes, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
