From a press release:

The annual Rooftop Party is back, but with a new name and a new location.

The Brewsterhout Patio Party will be held next Friday, Aug. 8, from 5-8 p.m. on the patio at the Osterhout Free Library (71 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre), as well as inside the library.

The party is an over-21 event that will feature beer and wine, entertainment by DJ Ryan Kenton, and food donated by over 20 local restaurants. The event is rain or shine with parking available in the Boscov’s lot. Over 400 guests are expected to attend.

The event is a fundraiser for the Osterhout and will help celebrate the 125th anniversary of the library. It’s organized by a group of volunteers committed to sustaining the library. In an era of declining public funding, the work of the committee and the help of the community are more important than ever.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door or can be purchased online via the Brewsterhout Facebook page. The price includes food, beverages, and entertainment. Guests are invited to bring a few extra bucks for a chance to win some raffle baskets.

Tickets are available at all four library branches: Main Library (71 South Franklin St.), North Branch (28 Oliver St.), South Branch (2 Airy St.), and the Plains Branch (126 N. Main St., Plains).
