SHELTER SUNDAY: Meet Hercules (bulldog mix) and Casey (tabby cat)
Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.
Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Hercules is a 1-year-old bulldog mix.
This handsome guy was originally a stray, so we do not know much about his history. His finders kept him for a few days until we were able to take him in.
He is very loving and always ready to go for walks or car rides. He has an amazing personality and talks to you when he wants your attention. He’s a smart boy and very food-driven.
Herc prefers people over animals, so he would enjoy being the only pet in the home. He seems to do better with dogs his size and is dominate towards other pups. He is a goofy boy who wants to please his people.
Hercules has been waiting for his perfect home for quite some time now, so come and meet this sweet guy!
Casey is a beautiful 1-year-old tabby cat.
She is a little shy but loves learning. Casey is very bright; she likes people and loves to play.
This sweetheart also likes to help clean up her space and rearrange her blanket. Then she sits proudly and waits for an ear scratch.
