From a press release:

Get into the Halloween spirit and spend a virtual evening with one of the Sanderson sisters from the 1993 cult classic film “Hocus Pocus.”

The F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre is offering fans the opportunity to join actress Kathy Najimy, a.k.a. Mary Sanderson, live via Zoom for a moderated discussion where she’ll share behind-the-scenes stories, answer questions live, and show clips from the Walt Disney Pictures holiday movie of the season.

With a VIP option providing an opportunity for one-on-one video chats with Najimy, this streaming event on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. adds a unique twist to the Halloween tradition.

Kathy Najimy is best known for her work in more than 30 films – such as “Sister Act,” “Hocus Pocus,” and “Rat Race” – as the voice of Peggy Hill on “King of the Hill,” and for her more current roles on “Veep,” “Younger,” and “Graves.” Outspoken, energizing, and inspirational, Najimy combines her acting and talents with a passionate commitment to equality, women’s leadership, and issues ranging from increasing cancer research to LGBTQ rights.

So grab your laptop and your broom… or vacuum… and Zoom on in. Join with a group or alone, in plain clothes or your best witchy wear – this holiday treat is a spooky experience that fans of all ages won’t want to miss.

Tickets, which are $20 per household (includes one device with as many viewers as you’d like) or $130 for the VIP Experience, go on sale this Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. via Passport Interactive and kirbycenter.org.

Najimy appeared in person at the Kirby Center last year, participating in a live discussion, Q&A, and costume contest before a screening of “Hocus Pocus” on Oct. 11.
