“People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a nonlinear, non-subjective viewpoint, it’s more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey… stuff.”

– The Doctor

The Internet is blowing up with love for “Back to the Future” because today is Oct. 21, 2015, the date which Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel to in the DeLorean in “Part II.” Scranton is celebrating tonight with a “BTTF”-themed art show at Coalwork, so with that futuristic spirit in mind, let’s jump back in time to July of 2014, when two young Dunmore High School students created a funny mashup of “BTTF” and “Doctor Who” and turned it into a full stage production of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey fun.

Zack Peercy and Alec Gerchman of Smiley Face Productions wrote, directed, and produced this original parody that ran July 18-20 last year in the Dunmore High School auditorium. Thankfully, this brilliantly geeky little moment in time was filmed by Big Idea Photo and Video Productions for YouTube, which can be viewed in its entirety above.

It obviously took a lot of work and nerdy knowledge to put this all together, but when you’re a fan, that’s “The Power of Love.”

“The way I see it, if you’re gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?”

– Doc Brown
