Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Bella

Bella needs a good home! This adorable puggle (a beagle and pug mix) is 6 years old.

She loves everyone she meets and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She is house and crate trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Bella loves going for walks and car rides.

She is a sweet and well-behaved girl, only getting upset when you try to take food away from her. Due to this, Bella would do best in a home with older or no children. She is fine when being fed food or treats, but she does not like to have food taken from her.

Bella has a goofy personality and loves being around people, so come and meet her today!

Chickie

Here’s Chickie! Well, her real name is Chicken Tail. It’s definitely an odd name for a cat, but this girl loves chicken and makes sure that she gets her share every time.

She is very laidback and social with other cats and humans. This beautiful girl does have an eye injury, but it has healed and needs no further treatment.

If you’d like to add Chickie to your home and feed her all the chicken she could ever want, please note that she is living in a foster home, not on the Blue Chip campus, so call 570-333-5265 ahead of time to arrange a meet and greet.
