Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge teams up with NEPA Scene every week for Shelter Sunday, a post that features dogs, cats, and occasionally some surprises up for adoption in the hopes of finding them a loving home.

Blue Chip Farm (974 Lockville Rd., Dallas) is a no-kill shelter, a place where no animal is too old or too unwanted to find a warm bed, good food and, most of all, love. Their mission is to provide a sanctuary where older, stray, abandoned, sick, or abused animals can wait to be adopted or simply live out their lives in safety and peace.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Other hours are available by appointment. Call 570-333-5265 or visit bcfanimalrefuge.org for more information.

Eli

Eli is a 5-year-old beagle mix.

This handsome little hound is nervous here at Blue Chip and does not handle the shelter environment well.

He needs a family that will give him nothing but love. He lived in a home with older teenagers, but never with other animals, though he does not seem bothered by other dogs.

Eli is ready to go to his perfect family!

Riesling

Riesling is a lovable, bright calico cat in need of a home.

She is very much into playing and, at 1 year old, she’s very good at it. She loves to give head butt hellos and sit back to watch what you are doing.

To adopt Riesling, fill out an adoption application at bcfanimalrefuge.org. Please note that she is in a foster home, not at the shelter, so call 570-333-5265 to arrange a meet and greet.
