From a press release:

“WWE SmackDown Live” returns to the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre for the first time in two years this Tuesday, July 17 at 7:45 p.m. The pro wrestling event will be broadcast live nationally on the USA Network from 8 p.m.-10 p.m., once again showcasing fans from Northeastern Pennsylvania in front of the WWE universe.

The event card will feature a double main event with WWE Champion AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, and United States Champion Jeff Hardy taking on Shinsuke Nakamura, The Miz, and Samoa Joe in a six-man tag team match and WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella taking on Asuka. Fan-favorite WWE Superstars The New Day, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Shelton Benjamin, Cesaro and Sheamus, The Usos, The Bludgeon Brothers, and more are also scheduled to appear at this event, though the lineup is subject to change.

The last time WWE SmackDown visited the Luzerne County arena was for the historic 900th episode of the series featuring the return of the Undertaker that sold out the venue. Most recently, “WWE Live” came to the Mohegan Sun Arena in January.

Offering “the best value in entertainment,” tickets start at $20 and are still available at the NBT Bank Box Office at the arena (255 Highland Park Blvd., Wilkes-Barre), ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets, and charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000.

Mohegan Sun Arena will be hosting a special outdoor pre-show party event near the venue’s East
Gate Entrance from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. The event will feature adult and kids bounce houses courtesy of NEPA Rec Center, a fan photo booth courtesy of Dynamic Duo Entertainment, discount food and drinks, and the final chance to win tickets to the show. Fans at the pre-show party will also have an opportunity to win great prizes, including upcoming event tickets.

Plus, any fan that makes a donation of a nonperishable food item to the United Way of Wyoming Valley’s Christmas in July food drive at the pre-show party will receive additional entries to the prize raffle. The pre-show party is free to attend, but anyone parking in the arena lot will be subject to a $10 cash-only parking fee. Anyone attending WWE SmackDown will need a ticket to enter the venue starting at 6:45 p.m. for the 7:45 p.m. show start time.

Acceptable items for the United Way food drive include cereal, peanut butter and jelly, canned tuna, canned and dry pasta, rice, canned meats (any type), canned stews, canned vegetables, canned fruit, coups (any type), diapers, laundry detergent, and personal care items (soap, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.).

Donations will go to support the Commission on Economic Opportunity Weinberg Northeast Pennsylvania Regional Food Bank. The Regional Food Bank distributes these products to charitable organizations feeding the needy throughout NEPA. These include food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, group homes for the disabled, day care centers, children’s camps, and senior citizens programs.
