Darius Rucker may be best known as the singer for Hootie & the Blowfish, but he showed his “Southern Style” on his latest album and the tour of the same name, which stopped at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton on May 29 at part of Froggy Fest 2015.
“Southern Style” is Rucker’s fourth country solo album, released on March 31.
“We wanted to have a little more fun with this record,” Rucker said in a press release. “But just like I always do, you always write some songs about relationships and family because they always come up, and it’s always some good song that you can’t not record.”
Joining the fun last Friday was country star Brett Eldredge, providing direct support, and the Brothers Osborne and A Thousand Horses opened the show.
