From a press release:

Horror icon and heavy metal mastermind Rob Zombie is unleashing “3 from Hell” on a limited number of big screens across the United States as a follow-up to his cult hit films “House of 1,000 Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects.”

The latest installment in the blood-soaked Firefly family trilogy will be released in cinemas nationwide over three nights, Monday, Sept. 16 through Wednesday, Sept. 18, featuring the unrated version and unique special content for each 7 p.m. showing.

On night one, moviegoers will see a special video introduction from Rob Zombie, and the first 50 attendees at each theater receiving an exclusive poster (while supplies last). On night two, audiences will be treated to a nearly 30-minute behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film. For night three, moviegoers will experience a double feature with “3 from Hell” and “The Devil’s Rejects.”

Lionsgate, Saban Films, and Fathom Events will present “3 From Hell” in nearly 900 select movie theaters, including Cinemark 20 (40 Glenmaura National Blvd., Moosic), Regal Dickson City Stadium 14 & IMAX (3909 Commerce Blvd., Dickson City), R/C Wilkes-Barre Movies 14 (24 E. Northampton St., Wilkes-Barre), and Cinemark Stroud Mall (160 Stroud Mall, Stroudsburg).

Cinemark 20 and Regal Dickson City Stadium 14 will be showing the film all three nights. R/C Wilkes-Barre Movies 14 will only be screening it on Sept. 16 while Cinemark Stroud Mall will carry the movie on Sept. 17 and 18. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting fathomevents.com or at participating theater box offices.

The plot of “3 from Hell” is currently unknown, but it will be centered around the three main antagonists of the previous films – Baby Firefly, Captain Spaulding, and Otis Driftwood – with Sheri Moon Zombie, Sid Haig, and Bill Moseley reprising their roles as sadistic killers.

“This event is a long time coming,” Rob Zombie said. “The journey of these characters has always been special to me, and I am thrilled to finally let the fans experience the next episode of the Firefly madness. This project was a true labor of love for everyone involved, and we know we have created something amazing for the loyal followers of these films. Let the insanity begin!”

Ron Schwartz, president of Worldwide Home Entertainment at Lionsgate, added, “We are excited to collaborate again with Rob Zombie. With ‘House of 1,000 Corpses’ and ‘The Devil’s Rejects,’ Rob Zombie delivered thrills and high doses of gore to genre fans. We look forward to bringing this next chapter to screens with Saban Films and Fathom.”

“Whether it’s creating visionary music or epic opuses of horror on the screen, Rob Zombie is a master at giving his loyal fans what they want,” Fathom Events CEO Ray Nutt said. “We’re pleased to continue to partner with Rob and share this long-anticipated final chapter of the trilogy with audiences nationwide.”

Saban Films and Zombie previously partnered with Fathom Events in a successful theatrical event for Rob Zombie’s “31.” “3 from Hell” was also written and directed by Zombie, who produced alongside CC Capital Arts Entertainment’s Mike Elliot. Greg Holstein and Saban Films Senior Vice President of Distribution, Sales, and Marketing Jonathan Saba are executive producers.

“In 2003, a bold new cinematic voice emerged with ‘House of 1,000 Corpses.’ And with the sequel, ‘The Devil’s Rejects,’ Rob Zombie cemented his legacy as one of the most influential and important modern-day genre filmmakers,” Saba said.

“Now nearly 15 years later, Rob returns to the Firefly family in an audacious and wholly singular new chapter in this gory saga. I can’t wait for audiences to see this film on the big screen thanks to our partners at Lionsgate and Fathom.”
