From a press release:

Scranton-based hip-hop artist Lucas Hex has announced that he will be embarking on a tour with national recording artists Michael Barr and Apache Chief.

Barr, who has recently launched a solo hip-hop career, is best know for his work as the vocalist of the progressive metalcore band Volumes. The Los Angles rock outfit received international acclaim and saw their first two albums peak at No. 1 on the iTunes charts. Barr was specifically influential in the hip-hop-inspired nu-metal feel that the band popularized in the metalcore and groove metal scenes. In 2016, Barr dropped his “Back Home” EP and has received critical acclaim for his recent single, “Dark Kid.”

Apache Chief is no stranger to the Northeastern Pennsylvania music scene. The Utica, New York artist has performed in the Electric City multiple times throughout his career.

Lucas Hex was added to the first leg of the tour and will perform on the Scranton, Rochester, Corning, and Albany dates. Hex, the 2016 Steamtown Music Award Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, will release a new song “Knightfall” next week, with an EP to be released in anticipation of the tour in February.

Hex has also announced his collaboration with Williamsport’s DJ Cryptic. Cryptic will join Hex as his live DJ for all performances moving forward.

The tour will make a stop at Levels Bar & Grill (519 Linden St., Scranton) on Thursday, Feb. 15. Meat and Potato Entertainment will present the show. Acts interested in opening should contact
