From a press release:

The Throop Arts + Food Festival is the first of its kind in Throop, gathering over 60 vendors to showcase their art, goods, and food (including food trucks) on Saturday, April 16 from noon-5 p.m. at the Throop Community Civic Center.

By attending, residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania can experience Throop at its finest. Many of the vendors are Throop residents that are growing their own businesses or promoting good causes in the area.

There will be activities all day, including workshops provided by the fire and police departments, and the festival is also offering free art classes for children in grades K-6, instructed by a certified art teacher. There will be performances by the Midvalley Cheerleaders & Pride Squad, along with acoustic acts throughout the day. A raffle of about 50 items will take place, giving 100 percent of the proceeds to the Throop Community Civic Center (500 Sanderson St., Throop).

Some added vendor features include a photo booth, face painting, fundraisers, and bake sales that support charity. T-shirts supporting the event will be on sale at the welcome table in three color options.

A free shuttle, provided by Gilbride Limousine, will run from the Throop Little League Field to the Civic Center for easy parking.

This event is free to the public. Sign-ups for the free children’s art classes end on April 16; spaces are limited, so register now by calling the Civic Center at 570-383-7906.
