With over 150 bands playing across 12 venues, the Electric City Music Conference was a massive event to cover, but we gladly took on the challenge as this year’s media sponsor and the biggest fans of local music you’ll find in Northeastern Pennsylvania. While we couldn’t make it everywhere, we photographed a good sampling of the many talented and varied acts in the event’s third annual lineup.

It began with the Steamtown Music Awards at The V-Spot on Thursday, Sept. 15, followed by Heart Out at The Keys, Clever Clever at the Irish Wolf Pub, Mountain Sky Orchestra and Family Animals at the Backyard Ale House, and Aaron Fink at The Bog on Friday, Sept. 16.

A series of panel discussions kicked off Saturday’s festivities, and then we caught Fiddy Shades (or at least his cardboard cutout) and Riley Loftus at Adezzo, Zayre Mountain and Jung Bergo at the Backyard Ale House, and Dustin Douglas & The Electric Gentlemen at The Bog. Between posting more bands to Instagram, NEPA Scene editor Rich Howells also shot Silhouette Lies (in one of their final shows) and Deaf Rhino (featured in our out-of-town bands list) at The V-Spot that night; those photos are below the rest.

We also saw the epic return of The Rods at Thirst T’s Bar & Grill in Olyphant and will post a full set of photos from that concert in the next few days.
